ART/WEAR

ART/WEAR is the new collection by polish designer JAN/F/CHODOROWICZ, named by VOGUE one of the most interesting designers of the young generation. The collection is, in a way, a continuation of his MA collection from CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS.  The designer continues to explore the codes of workwear and adapt them for the wardrobe of a contemporary woman. “Her clothing was that of a human who laboured. Her labour was making art.” These words written by Charlie Porter in "What Artists Wear" about American painter Agnes Martin, were a starting point, which led to a thorough analysis of the clothes worn by female artists, such as Alina Szapocznikov and Barbara Hepworth. These women became the muses of this collection, and it is after them that the garments are named. The capsule collection consists of three models of jackets and matching scarves, in various fabrications, accented with the designers signature workwear blue color.
